Colere Southern Valleys Chenin Blanc 2022, Marlborough

Chenin Blanc is a fascinating wine, it holds its core of fruit flavours, acidity and personality over several days open, yet develops complexities, even a second style seam that allows the wine to speak second language. Not all are the same though, I digress. This wine is delicious with aromas and flavours of fresh and baked apples and pears, a limestone and rocky mineral quality, spice and gentle wool-like character. Taut and youthful for 48hours open then begins to curb a little on day 3 developing complexities linked to the acid line and fruit flavour development. Well made, natural and fresh with best drinking from 2029 through 2039+.
