Château Marsyas B-Qā de Marsyas Blanc 2019, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon

This is a Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay with a bouquet and palate of ripe pear and apple, there’s a distinctive stony mineral quality, a touch of flint and array of flower ideas. As the wine opens out in glass the mineral and lees begin to frame the wine more with a layer of citrus peel emerging, apricot flesh and mineral mineral stony soil suggestions. Quite delicious, though needs to be served ambient to capture the story best. Still developing with good drinking from day of purchase through 2029.
