AOTEA by the Seifried Family Cabernet Franc 2021, Nelson

Ruby at the core with flashes of garnet and plenty of polish lead to a bouquet of perfume and dark berries, spices and tobacco, olive and blackberry. There’s a hint of leather and dried mushroom then stony clay soil ideas. On the palate a delicious wine led by texture and then fruit, spice and then mineral. AN abundance of finer tannins and backbone of acidity. Well made with flavours that mirror the idea in the bouquet with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030.
