Saint Clair Family Estate Origin Cabernet Merlot 2021, Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay

Very good colour intensity with a core of dark red and ruby, slightly pink at the rim. Aromas of tobacco and blackberry, Doris plums and barrel spices, some smoky wood moments and lots of earthy soil impressions. A dry wine with a core of dark berries, tobacco and spices, some woody smoke moments and plenty of earthy ideas. Balanced, well made, fruity and ready to drink from 2025 through 2029. Best enjoyed with food.
