Tiri Road Syrah 2024, Waiheke Island

Made by the team at Passage Rock this wine has a deep red almost opaque core of dark purple and ruby near the rim leading to a bouquet of fresh balckcurrant and white pepper, dark skinned plums and violets. As the wine relaxes in glass and begins to open out the scents of earth smoke-clay and stone as well as ash and wood spices unfurl. Fuller-bodied, dark fruited and dry with a warmth from the alcohol and tannins from fruit and wood delivering impact and power, texture and mouthfeel. Youthful and still very new with best drinking from 2027 through 2033+.
