Known Unknown Maraekakaho Cabernet Franc 2022, New Zealand

Ripe, fruity and dry with core flavours of dark plums and blackberry, there’s a fine savoury dried herb and leafy quality adding both impact and flavours. Fine tannins and medium+ acid line combine to deliver a wine of completeness and some power. I tried this wine both ambient and chilled, both worked. Best drinking from 2025 through 2028+.
