Villa Maria 'Attorney' Pinot Noir 2021, Marlborough

A definitively complex and enticing bouquet with dark red berry fruit scents, brown baking spies, black cherry and toasty barrel aromas. I had more than a few sips of this wine, it’s delicious. Flavours of dark berries and plum wrapped in baking spices of cinnamon and vanilla then some wood smoke and lees. Complex and textured, taut and youthful, lengthy and very well made. A wine that should please many a fan of Pinot Noir. Lengthy with firm tannins and plenty of acidity, a wine best enjoyed from either day of purchase or from 2027 through 2037.
