Champagne Charles de Casanove 'Stradivarius' Gold Limited Edition Prestige Cuvée 2009, France

Aged for 11 years on lees before dégorement - there’s no mistaking the rich scents of autolysis with this Champagne, butter brioche and baked goods, crushed nut with a citrus pith note. Complex and developing. Elegant, full-bodied and very flavourful, red fleshed apple and yellow peach, a touch of arrowroot and citrus. The mousse is fine and soft, acidity holds the structure in place leading to a dry soft creamy finish. Wonderfully elegant and lengthy. A lovely drink or perfect gift, I opt for the former. Best from day of purchase through 2030.
