Champagne Roger Manceaux Blanc de Noir Grand Cru NV, France

A deep straw and golden hues with an even bead lead to a bouquet and palate of weight and richness, flavours of aged pear and baked apple, then citrus; the autolysis is dense and rich, fruit flavours sit nicely mid-palate. The mousse is even with a fine to moderate bubble, the texture is satin-like and the finish is crisp, dry and slightly saline. There’s a chalky and white clay mineral seam adding complexity and breadth. Balanced, well made and lengthy. best drinking from 2023 through 2030.
