Wild Estate 'W' Merlot 2020, Waiheke Island

This 100% Merlot wine presents a core purple and pink hues with ruby highlights. Aromas and flavours include dark plums and roasted red berry fruits, layers of dark spices from clove to vanilla and dark chocolate. Bold firm and dry with a ripe core of dark red berry fruits and Doris plums, roasted versions of the same then clove and toasted barrel qualities. Well made, dry and lengthy. A wine best enjoyed from late 2025 through 2035.
