Mt Difficulty 'Ghost Town' Syrah 2019, Bendigo, Central Otago

Aromas and flavours of black currants and toasty barrel, there’s scents of dark cherry and dried herbs, some old raspberry jam and stony earth qualities. Taut, firm and dry on the palate with flavours of dried herbs and early pick berries, the cherry and earthy qualities are highlighted by the acidity and firm-ish tannins. Overall a wine that is best enjoyed with food, perhaps cheese or a lasagne style dish. Moderate length and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027+.
