Greystone Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Waipara Valley, North Canterbury

Many of the classic aromas of this variety are immediately recognisable with fresh white and yellow stone fruits, apple and citrus, but with this expression there’s more focus on minerality and less on the herbaceous drive the might come from vineyards further south. There’s also a smooth calm complexity through the bouquet. Crisp and fresh, salivating and dry on the palate. Many of the flavours from the bouquet repeat especially ripe lemon and grapefruit, apple and just a whisper of tropical fruit. Youthful and fresh with plenty of acidity, but also balanced, even and elegant across the palate. Well made with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from day of purchase ad through 2025.
