Also known as Mataro and Mouvedre - Monastrell is a very versatile variety often used in blending, but equally robust and tasty on its own. This expression showcases aromas of dark red fruits and mineral with blackberry and preserved plum, clay and stony soil-like aromas then dark spices from both fruit an wood. Dry on the palate with a grainy texture and firm grip contrasted by the flavours of dark fruits and moderate acidity. Balanced and well made, ready to be enjoyed with food especially dishes with cheese or cream or rare red meat offerings. Drink now and through 2024.
