The Supernatural Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Hawkes Bay

Fragrant and intriguing bouquet with aromas of middle-eastern spices, ginger and wild flowers then preserved peaches and apple, lemon peel and beeswax. On the palate - equally intriguing with flavours that reflect the nose plus grapefruit and sour apple, some ginger and warming alcohol, medium+ (ish) acidity and balanced lengthy finish. What’s exciting about this wine is that it is completely outside the box if you compared it to say a Marlborough expression, but squarely inside the box of new, fresh, innovative and different. Great drinking from today and through 2025.
