Pegasus Bay Prima Donna Pinot Noir (aged release) 2009 Waipara, North Canterbury

Sweet smoke, mild toasty wood layer with a hint of bacon then baking spice and red berry fruit aromas. On the palate a layered and quite complex dry wine with flavours of dried raspberry , plum and dark red cherry. Fine integrating tannins and medium acidity. Still integrating and developing flavour as well as fine textures and senior fruit flavours (sweet and familiar, a whisper of drynees and delicious). Balnaced and well made, ready to enjoy. Drink now and through 2024.
