Collaboration Wines Impression Red Merlot Cabernet & Franc 2015 Hawkes Bay

Smoky, toasty and fruity. No mistaking the oak spice signature of cloves and dried vanilla then black fruits and plum. Dry and fruity on the pa;ate with flavours of dark berries and plums. No mistaking the dusty fine tannins. Medium+ acidity, flavours of baked bell-pepper, violets and baking spices add complexity and depth. Drinking nicely now, but should continue to develop over the next 3-5 years. Best from today - if decanted - or from late 2019 through 2025.
