2023 was a record year for the number of wines I tasted, evaluated, and judged. These included Panel Chair for the New Zealand entries at the Decanter World Wine Awards, Chair for the Canberra International Riesling Challenge, Selector for the Hawkes Bay Chardonnay Challenge, various local wine shows around New Zealand, various online and print publications including Decanter and MiNDFOOD, multiple wine tasting events around Aotearoa New Zealand, and my own website review business site at CamDouglasMS.com, many hundreds of wines have touched my palate.

Sold! US $900 Million

Treasury Wine Estates reached an agreement to buy Daou Vineyards, launched by brothers Daniel and Georges Daou in 2007, for an “upfront consideration of $900 million, plus an additional earn-out of up to $100 million,” the Australian corporation announced Monday, calling Daou “the fastest-growing luxury wine brand in the United States.”
