The Abel from The Elder Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough

Vibrant, bright, fresh and very youthful with a bouquet of violets and black cherry, some raspberry then clove and anise. There’s a fine earthy quality with dark stony soils then a fine flinty quality. Dry, developing, varietal, fruity and textured. Flavours mirror the bouquet with emphasis on plum the black cherry, baking spice then earth. Well made, still developing and nicely complex. Best drinking from 2027 through 2032+.
